Last year after I had Emmi, I needed something that could minimize my makeup time. Eye-lash extensions are something that are really popular and after I was recommended to someone, I went for it. I absolutely loved it. After I moved I no longer could use the same lash girl. Fast forward almost a year, I decided to get my lashes done again. I found Jenny from Star Lash Studio a few weeks ago and I could not wait to get my lashes done again. What I love most about having eye-lash extensions is that they make my eyes look awake. I also don’t have to worry about putting on mascara every day.
Getting your lashes done can be a bit pricey, depending on where you go to. It is not a one-and-done thing, you do have to get them filled every two to three weeks. Taking care of them is not a huge problem. The only hard thing for me is that I can’t be rubbing my eyes. I have to be careful when I lay my head down. Also when I wash my hair, I have to make sure I don’t get too much water on them. Some might think they are too much maintenance, but so worth it.
If and when you do decide that you want to get eye-lash extensions, I do recommend to do your research first. Don’t go somewhere because they are the cheapest. Cheap lashes aren’t good, and good lashes are cheap. Read reviews and ask questions before you decide to go with someone. There are different length and thickness when it comes to lashes. Stick to something that will feel natural. You can always get them longer or shorter at your next appointment.
The process and your appointment is pretty easy. Once you do find a lash artist that you feel comfortable with and you have your appointment ready remember to keep in mind that your first appointment will be an hour to two hours long. So plan accordingly. Your lash artist works with a bed type of bench. You will be laying down with your eyes closed the entire time. I normally will try to talk with my lash girl if I don’t I find myself falling asleep. You are laying down in a relaxed atmosphere so falling asleep is not hard! Once you are done, your lash artist will explain the upkeep of them.
I will post my before and after soon.
