Home for the Holidays

I am having a hard time accepting that Christmas is 2 days away! I am totally not emotionally nor mentally prepared for this. I am also not going to be ready to take down all my Christmas decor. I love our tree and I love how in every room we have a little bit of the Holidays in it. Addi loves to change the Christmas countdown every morning and Emmi likes to rearrange our nativity scene every second she gets a chance.

My Favorite area in the house is in the dining room, mainly because this is where we sit together as a family to have our meals. But also because we have this table, that works as a great as a console table. It took me a while to get it to where it is. I had to change a few things over and over again. It has the perfect amount of Christmas, without overcrowding the space. Creating a space that you love is totally up to your liking. Here are some tips that you can keep in mind while decorating a table space.

1. Something horizontal, and something vertical
2. Add some like with a small plant or vase of flowers.
3. Add levels of height. i.e candlesticks, lamps. I love using candles.
4. Decorative basket, I love the throw inside of it.
5. Make it personal. Add frames with photos of the family.

Changing this space up for any holiday is super easy. I don't have to completely put everything away and change it all up. All it takes is switching some pieces here and there and viola!
