Post Partum Needs

Here I am at 5 weeks postpartum and I feel great. I just started to feel 100% me again. The first couple of days are no joke, the worst thing. I also started giving 100% at the gym too. I started going around three weeks postpartum but took it slow and walked on the treadmill and did the bikes that you can sit on? I don't know what they are called, ha ha. Thinking about summer gets me super nervous because,  as much as I want my body to be summer ready I know that it is going to take time. So for now I am going to focus on my babies and taking care of me, at my own pace. Here are some stuff I couldn't live without these past few weeks.


As you mamma's know, the fist two weeks or so, you need the maxi pads (ugh), tucks pads, medicated wipes (hallelujah) dermoplast, and hand sanitizer (for the hands of course). I don't need to explain what all those are for, because I'm sure a lot of you have been there a few times. So on to the stuff you really need to have!

1. Nursing Bra/top Since I am nursing, I definitely need a nursing bra. I could go on and share a bunch of different ones, because I own a few different brands but this one  has been my favorite so far. Super comfy and flexible.
2. Disposable pads You know what comes with nursing? The occasional leakage! The Lansinoh were the second kind I tried and love them.
3.Water And tons of it. To stay hydrated while nursing and working out. I wanted a big water bottle  that I didn't have to keep refilling every 5 minutes!
4. Nursing Pillow  Getting a good latch comes with good posture and positions. My boppy has been a great help.
5. Leggings   Because unfortunately we don't all bounce back to our pre-baby tummy's. And comfy is all you want to be!
6. Belly band/Wrap Since we don't all bounce back and look amazing after birth, we might want some help. You don't have to break the bank to get something to suck it all in and keep it tight. This post-partum support band did just that for me. It is discreet but hides it all too good.
7. Stretch mark cream  I didn't have stretch marks my entire pregnancy up until the last two weeks. So annoying. I have only been using Palmer's coco butter, but I am on the hunt for a good stretch mark lotion or cream.
8. Nipple cream  The soreness is real! Anything to make my nipples feel a little better. I have been using NapiNol and Love it. It's dual action, works for baby bottoms too.
