DIY Valentines heart hair clip

Valentine's day is around the corner, and since I have a little girl I LOVE making bows, hair clips, headbands anything girly. So I decided to make a hair clip so she could wear on Valentine's Day with her outfit!

I love being crafty, but I'm no pro at it! so it might not look perfect but i love it!

            Material needed:
            hot glue gun
Felt squares(any color you want)I usually get mine at Hobby lobby my local craft store
Ribbon *optional (coordinating color) to cover the clip
Alligator clip ( also from hobby lobby)
            Thread and needle
             Embellishments *optional

 Let's get started!
First I thread my needle, this if for the border around the hearts

I cut out two heart shapes on my felt using pink and red. you can free hand these or use a template if you have one. doesn't have to be perfect.

Begging threading the border around your heart with the needle all the way around. It doesn't have to be perfect or evenly spaced. Just don't pull too tight or it will ruffle up.

should look like this when you are done.

do this for both hearts, if you are doing two.
you can do individual clips for each heart or you can glue them together like i did.
using white felt i cut out four strips that I will be using to make the "X" and I used rhinestones to make the "O"

After putting the "Xs" and "Os" together I glued the clip to the back of the hearts,  I didn't cover the clip with the ribbon as I was going to do originally I left it as is.

This is how the end result looks like. I love it, and so does little Addie

                                                      Hope you guys enjoy XOXO
